3 December 2026 – International Day of Persons with Disabilities (International): Observed to promote the rights, dignity, and well-being of persons with disabilities and to encourage their full participation in society.

14 December 2026 – Prathamastami (Odisha): A unique Odia festival dedicated to the eldest child of the family. Parents perform special prayers for the child's long life, good health, and prosperity. Traditional Enduri Pitha is prepared and shared on this occasion.

18 December 2026 – International Migrants Day (International): Observed to recognize the contributions of migrants and promote awareness of their rights and welfare.

24 December 2026 – Christmas Eve (India): Christians gather in churches for midnight prayers and prepare for the celebration of Christmas with decorations, carols, and festive activities.

25 December 2026 – Christmas (All India): Celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ. Churches hold special prayer services, homes are decorated with Christmas trees and lights, and people exchange gifts, sweets, and greetings.

31 December 2026 – New Year's Eve (India): Marks the final day of the year. People celebrate with family gatherings, cultural programmes, music, and countdown events while welcoming the New Year.

December 2026 – Dhanu Sankranti (Odisha): An important observance marking the Sun's transition into the Dhanu (Sagittarius) zodiac sign. Devotees visit temples and offer prayers for peace, prosperity, and a good harvest.

December 2026 – Gita Jayanti (All India): Commemorates the day when Lord Krishna delivered the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. Devotees read the Bhagavad Gita and participate in spiritual discourses.

୧ ଡିସେମ୍ବର (ମଙ୍ଗଳବାର): ପ୍ରଥମାଷ୍ଟମୀ – ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ଏକ ପାରମ୍ପରିକ ପ୍ରମୁଖ ପର୍ବ (ଘରର ବଡ଼ ସନ୍ତାନଙ୍କ ଦୀର୍ଘାୟୁ କାମନା କରାଯାଏ) ଏବଂ ଓଡ଼ିଶା ସରକାରଙ୍କ ଇଚ୍ଛାଧୀନ (Optional) ଛୁଟି।
୩ ଡିସେମ୍ବର (ଗୁରୁବାର): ମାଣବସା ଗୁରୁବାର (ମାର୍ଗଶିର ଗୁରୁବାର) – ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ଘରେ ଘରେ ମହାଲକ୍ଷ୍ମୀଙ୍କ ଓଷାର ସମାପନ।
୧୨ ଡିସେମ୍ବର (ଶନିବାର): ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ଶନିବାର – ବ୍ୟାଙ୍କ ଛୁଟି।
୧୬ ଡିସେମ୍ବର (ବୁଧବାର): ଧନୁ ସଂକ୍ରାନ୍ତି – ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ଏକ ପ୍ରମୁଖ ସଂକ୍ରାନ୍ତି; ଶ୍ରୀମନ୍ଦିରରେ ବିଶ୍ୱପ୍ରସିଦ୍ଧ ‘ପହିଲି ଭୋଗ’ ନୀତି ଆରମ୍ଭ ହୁଏ। ଏହା ସହିତ ପ୍ରସିଦ୍ଧ ବରଗଡ଼ ଧନୁଯାତ୍ରାର ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତି ଆରମ୍ଭ ହୋଇଥାଏ।
୨୪ ଡିସେମ୍ବର (ଗୁରୁବାର): ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟମାସ ଇଭ୍ (Christmas Eve) – ଓଡ଼ିଶା ସରକାରଙ୍କ ଇଚ୍ଛାଧୀନ (Optional) ଛୁଟି।
୨୫ ଡିସେମ୍ବର (ଶୁକ୍ରବାର): ବଡ଼ ଦିନ (Christmas Day) – ସରକାରୀ ଛୁଟିଦିନ; ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ଜନ୍ମୋତ୍ସବ।
୨୬ ଡିସେମ୍ବର (ଶନିବାର): ଚତୁର୍ଥ ଶନିବାର – ବ୍ୟାଙ୍କ ଛୁଟି; ଏହି ଦିନ ଓଡ଼ିଶାରେ ‘ବାଟ ଓଷା’ ମଧ୍ୟ ପାଳିତ ହୁଏ।
୩୦ ଡିସେମ୍ବର (ବୁଧବାର): ସାମ୍ବ ଦଶମୀ – ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ଏକ ସ୍ୱତନ୍ତ୍ର ପର୍ବ, ଯେଉଁଠାରେ ମାଆମାନେ ନିଜ ସନ୍ତାନଙ୍କ ଆରୋଗ୍ୟ ପାଇଁ ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଦେବତାଙ୍କ ପୂଜାର୍ଚ୍ଚନା କରନ୍ତି।
୩୧ ଡିସେମ୍ବର (ଗୁରୁବାର): ପଠାଣି ସାମନ୍ତ ଜୟନ୍ତୀ – ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ବିଶିଷ୍ଟ ଜ୍ୟୋତିର୍ବିଜ୍ଞାନୀ ମହାମହୋପାଧ୍ୟାୟ ଚନ୍ଦ୍ରଶେଖର ସିଂହ ହରିଚନ୍ଦନ ମହାପାତ୍ର (ପଠାଣି ସାମନ୍ତ)ଙ୍କ ଜନ୍ମ ବାର୍ଷିକୀ। ଏହା ସହିତ ଇଂରାଜୀ ବର୍ଷର ଅନ୍ତିମ ଦିନ (Year-End)।

ପ୍ରଥମାଷ୍ଟମୀ ଓ ଏଣ୍ଡୁରି ପିଠା (ଡିସେମ୍ବର ୧): ହଳଦୀ ପତ୍ରରେ ତିଆରି ସ୍ୱାଦିଷ୍ଟ ଏଣ୍ଡୁରି ପିଠାର ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତି ଏବଂ ‘ପୋଢ଼ୁଆଁ’ ନୀତିକୁ ନେଇ ସୁନ୍ଦର କଲ୍ଚରାଲ୍ ବ୍ଲଗ୍ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କରାଯାଇପାରିବ।
ଧନୁ ସଂକ୍ରାନ୍ତି ଓ ମୁଆଁ ବଜାର (ଡିସେମ୍ବର ୧୬): ଓଡ଼ିଶାରେ ଏହି ଦିନ ଧନୁ ମୁଆଁ ଖାଇବାର ପରମ୍ପରା ରହିଛି, ବଜାରରେ ଏହାର ବିକ୍ରି ଏବଂ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତିକୁ ନେଇ ଭିଡିଓ ତିଆରି କରିପାରିବେ।
ଧନୁଯାତ୍ରା: ଡିସେମ୍ବର ଶେଷ ସପ୍ତାହରେ ବରଗଡ଼ରେ ବିଶ୍ୱର ସବୁଠାରୁ ବଡ଼ ମୁକ୍ତାକାଶ ରଙ୍ଗମଞ୍ଚ ‘ବରଗଡ଼ ଧନୁଯାତ୍ରା’ ଆରମ୍ଭ ହୋଇଥାଏ, ଯାହା ଟ୍ରାଭେଲ୍ ଏବଂ କଲ୍ଚରାଲ୍ କଣ୍ଟେଣ୍ଟ ପାଇଁ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଆକର୍ଷଣୀୟ।
